What can I write about?
As I help writers to get their novels to submission/publication standard at Stand Corrected Editing, it is preferred that guest posts focus on the following areas:
Writing, editing or publishing tips
Advice on how to find literary agents or how to self-publish
Creative non-fiction (about the writing process, writing life, life as a published author)
Book reviews
TV and film reviews
Video game reviews
Essays and opinion pieces on any of the above
Before submitting, please follow these guidelines
Please submit your work as an MS attachment to standcorrected@outlook.com
Word count: all submissions should be between 1000 and 5000 words.
Stand Corrected Editing is not accepting prose or poetry.
Unfortunately, Stand Corrected Editing cannot provide payment for your articles, only free publication on the blog and a link to your website and social media.
Please do not flood your piece with backlinks, if you wish for your submission to be linked to your website, please provide your links in your email and they will be added to the top or bottom of the publication.
Pieces that have been published before will not be accepted, so please only submit an original post.
If your article has been accepted somewhere else, please get in touch before it's published by Stand Corrected Editing.
Feel free to include a bio.
Writers and authors are often upset or disheartened by rejection, but your submission will be declined if the guidelines have not been followed or your article is riddled with literary errors.
